On V-day, we rearranged our bedroom and attached this new floating shelf for Mike's side of the bed. But this chair still exists in our home, taunting me with its stickered existence. I'm tired of fighting it - you can keep it forever, man-friend.

So basically, Mike and I acknowledged that he needed a nightstand, but when we went to Ikea, I "pooh-poohed" (his term) his bedside table of choice. Needless to say, I feel totally bad about it and we're going back for it this weekend.

Judge it. Judge my bed. It's OK, I'm doing it too. I hate that I don't have some like, ensemble or whatever for my bed to wear. Like this perfect duvet and shams and I don't know, some long neck roll and a radical throw pillow you might find at say, DWR (yes, I'm stalking a new bed ensemble situation).

Anyways, this is its current dressings, pieced together from random past bedding I once thought was awesome, like the Dwell shams from the set I had to have last year. It's comfy, and that's what's important, right? Wrong! I want my bed to look 10 times cooler, so just you wait. Oh also, note that Mike's high school chair has been relegated back into the bedroom as a makeshift nightstand. It's totally sad and I feel really guilty about it. Tell you about it later.

A FotoFlat first. I took a picture of these pocket tissues I bought in bulk from Target. And then I put them away somewhere really good, because I can no longer find them. Not that this has happened before. Shut up Mike.

I'm weird about bags being able to be set on the bed, because of the germ situation. This one gets to be up there as a reflection of my reluctance to really commit to my OCD.

On Green on Green

This color combo was a total accident, and I was kind of grossed out by at it first. Each green is a not quite green, almost mustardy (mustard greens?!) shade, and all I wanted was to change from my white sheets because they were dirty. This being the only duvet I have, they had to mix. And now I kind of don't hate it. But I am, first and foremost, a sucker.

My dad, to my total shock, understands crafty jewelry storage! (I am my father's daughter?)

How the frig that happened, I don't know. All I saw was that he made one of these for my stepmom with old barnwood and screen, so I demanded one. He made me one for Christmas and my heart grew three sizes.

New curtains are so on the agenda, when I find a print I like. These were birch tree print from Ikea. I know, right? Tree prints = so 2006. But I know, they're still awesome. But not awesome enough to stay. Later on, donkey kong!
