Since I got rid of my tulip chairs, I've been looking for a mate to this Danish chair (recently of sewing nook fame). Even though this design is super common, I haven't found one on Craigslist yet. I know! Unbelievable!

We're big kids. We have a perfectly good dining table. Every night, I'm always like, let's sit at the real table, but then we're all, let's watch TV while we eat! So that's how we end up eating at the coffee table every night. I guess that's who we are. Sadly.
Oh, happy cow. Thank god for brunch guests, otherwise he'd never come out and play. I have tried to make him happen when it's just the two of us, but it's not going to happen.
Advantage to entertaining: Finally getting rid of party accessories from celebrations prior.
I'm pretty sure that having people over for brunch is preferable to having people over for dinner, mostly because I am too sleepy to be stressed out about the stupid deets I am concerned with at dinner time. Plus, breakfast shit on the table just makes the room look happy. I'm leaving those out as decor til the bugs come.
Post surprise-party, I had a low-key chill night on my actual bday night with these, a bottle of Sofia from Angelica, and some pretty packages from my sis. Kind of making me want to add pink again.

Here is the last in the series of my surprise party decor: The chess pieces that were scattered about, like we had a bunch of really intellectual, sexy games going.

This being my surprise party, I didn't have a chance to take any photos, nor did I want to, being occupied with draining a plastic cup of champagne and "blood". Thankfully, BFF Hezzie took on the responsibility of getting some really awesome decor shots. Girlfriend knows her way around a composition.

Awesome alert: My friends and boyfriend threw me a surprise party on Saturday night and though it took me way too long to get it, the theme was Twilight, and everything was red, black and white, and chess pieces, books, and apples were on every surface. Yes, it was radical. Yes, most decorations are still up.
I'm not getting rid of the sheepskin covers (PS I don't know if it's faux or what. I got them at Ikea) that I used on my tulip chairs, but I'm not sure where they'll go now. On this chair? Or the new dining chairs? Or will I just rub them on my face? Huge decision. I bet your heart's beating so fast now.
