I've alluded to (and have posted about) my non-green-thumbiness. Whatever. I do other things well. But this bamboo is Mike's, and it appears to be thriving. Congratulations, Mike! All it needs to survive is a steady diet of not-me.

Hey, look, someone hung them! Don't worry, it wasn't me. Which means they're sound.
P.S. I realize this picture is not that great. I remain unconcerned.

This color combo was a total accident, and I was kind of grossed out by at it first. Each green is a not quite green, almost mustardy (mustard greens?!) shade, and all I wanted was to change from my white sheets because they were dirty. This being the only duvet I have, they had to mix. And now I kind of don't hate it. But I am, first and foremost, a sucker.

It's kind of nice that we both freak out about getting new bags (he with Timbuktu and other laptop bags, me with any kind of bag at all), and this dude one is nice looking, admittedly (update: I'm obligated to tell you that the grid on the bag is of SF).
Not pictured: The million other bags junking up our apartment.

Since I got rid of my tulip chairs, I've been looking for a mate to this Danish chair (recently of sewing nook fame). Even though this design is super common, I haven't found one on Craigslist yet. I know! Unbelievable!
We're big kids. We have a perfectly good dining table. Every night, I'm always like, let's sit at the real table, but then we're all, let's watch TV while we eat! So that's how we end up eating at the coffee table every night. I guess that's who we are. Sadly.
Oh, happy cow. Thank god for brunch guests, otherwise he'd never come out and play. I have tried to make him happen when it's just the two of us, but it's not going to happen.
Advantage to entertaining: Finally getting rid of party accessories from celebrations prior.
I'm pretty sure that having people over for brunch is preferable to having people over for dinner, mostly because I am too sleepy to be stressed out about the stupid deets I am concerned with at dinner time. Plus, breakfast shit on the table just makes the room look happy. I'm leaving those out as decor til the bugs come.
Post surprise-party, I had a low-key chill night on my actual bday night with these, a bottle of Sofia from Angelica, and some pretty packages from my sis. Kind of making me want to add pink again.
